中国证监会在其网站上发布公告称﹐上海期货交易所将在近期开展其第六个期货产品交易。
预计中国首次推出的黄金期货可以在全球价格波动的背景下为生产商提供对冲机会﹐同时也可打击地下黄金期货交易。
格林威治时间1023﹐黄金报每盎司703.95美元。黄金价格今年迄今为止已上涨11%。
贵金属研究公司成都威尔鑫投资咨询有限公司(Chengdu Wellxin Consulting Co.)的黄金分析师杨易君表示，黄金期货的推出是市场期待已久的，这将吸引包括散户投资者在内的更多市场人士。
上海期货交易所目前上市交易的有铜、铝、锌、天然橡胶和燃料油期货合约。
上海黄金交易所目前可以进行黄金现货交易和黄金现货延期交易。该交易所在4月份曾表示，其开展黄金期货交易的申请已获得中国央行(People's Bank of China)的批准。
中国去年的黄金总产量上升7.2%，达到240.08吨，产量位居全球第三。

set to begin in Shanghai

SHANGHAI -- The China Securities Regulatory Commission said it has approved the trading of gold futures on the Shanghai Futures Exchange.
In a notice on its Web site, the country's securities regulator said the exchange will start the trading "in the near future." The country's first gold futures are expected to provide hedging opportunities for producers amid volatile global prices and curb the underground gold-futures trade.
"This has been expected for a long time, and the launch of futures will attract more market players, including individuals," said Yang Yijun, a gold analyst at Chengdu Wellxin Consulting Co., a precious-metals research firm.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, gold will become the sixth product with futures contracts, joining copper, aluminum, zinc, natural rubber and fuel oil.
The Shanghai Gold Exchange, which currently trades spot gold and spot deferred gold, said it was also awaiting approval for trading in gold futures from the securities regulator.
China was the world's third-largest gold producer last year, with total production of 240.08 metric tons. ---
